Visitation Guidelines

We understand the important role that family and friends have in our residents' emotional and physical well-being. Due to Covid-19 and the current surge in Santa Clara County, we have had to make changes to our Visitation Policy to ensure the safety of our residents and staff. Our guidelines are in line with the State of California.

We currently offer the following options to ensure you can continue to be a part of your loved one's care. These must be scheduled in advance, so our Activities Team can assist with the visit. Please contact our Activities Department at (408) 248-7100.

  • Video Visits & Phone Calls: We have iPads dedicated to our Activities Department, so you can utilize FaceTime or other applications to have a "virtual visit". We also have long-range cordless phones available if you prefer to make a phone call.

  • Window Visits: We welcome Window Visits at your loved one's window (when available). Please remember that we cannot open windows during the visit to ensure social distancing is maintained.

  • Outdoor Patio Visits (Green Zone):

    • UNVACCINATED OR INCOMPLETELY VACCINATED VISITORS MUST provide evidence of a negative SARS-CoV-2 test within one day of visitation for antigen tests OR within two days of visitation for a PCR test.

      • We may be able to provide visitors with Rapid Antigen testing - please call ahead so we can ensure we have adequate supply.

      • If you are able to procure a Rapid Antigen test of your own, you must perform the test in the presence of a staff member per Public Health guidelines.

    • Visits shall generally be limited to two guests at a time.

    • Visitors must wear face coverings at all times and perform frequent hand hygiene throughout the visit.

    • Visitors shall be screened for Covid-19 symptoms and exposure before the visit.

  • Indoor Room Visits (Yellow Zone and Green Zone):

    • UNVACCINATED OR INCOMPLETELY VACCINATED VISITORS MUST provide evidence of a negative SARS-CoV-2 test within one day of visitation for antigen tests OR within two days of visitation for a PCR test.

      • We may be able to provide visitors with Rapid Antigen testing - please call ahead so we can ensure we have adequate supply.

      • If you are able to procure a Rapid Antigen test of your own, you must perform the test in the presence of a staff member per Public Health guidelines.

    • Visits shall generally be limited to one guest at a time.* If in a private room, two guests may be accommodated at the facility's discretion.

    • Visitor must wear face covering (and PPE, if necessary) at all times and perform frequent hand hygiene throughout the visit.

    • Visitors shall be screened for Covid-19 symptoms and exposure before the visit.

All visitors are expected to adhere to our Infection Control guidelines. Our staff may approach you to kindly remind you or ask you to leave the facility if you are unable to.

*We may occasionally make exceptions to this. Additionally, outdoor and indoor visits are subject to change or cancellation due to federal, state, or county policy changes, Covid-19 status changes, availability of resident/staff, weather conditions, and/or poor air quality.
